Becoming a member

A large portion of our collection can be viewed on the premises without the need for membership. If you are a member, you can: 

  • borrow books
  • request books or journals from the depot.

One-day visitor’s pass

If you wish to request documents from the depot on just an incidental basis, you can also purchase a day pass, valid only for the day of your visit. It does not entitle you to borrow items. For information on purchasing a day-pass, see the table Visitor to the central library in the Membership section below. You can purchase visitor's pass only during the opening hours of the information desk.

You have automatic membership. you can log in with your NetID and borrow books with your campus card.

TU Delft student

You can apply for a library pass at the information counter of the central library. You need a valid student card or employee  pass and proof of your address.

Our information counter is available from monday to friday, from 09.00 to 18.00h.

You can apply for a library pass at the information counter of the central library. you need a valid identity document and proof of your address.

Our information counter is available from monday to friday, from 09.00 to 18.00h.

€20 per year.

If you have a TU Delft Alumni pass, you will receive a €5 discount upon presenting your pass at the information counter.

 

Visitor to the central library

You can:

Costs

  • View books and journals on the open shelves.
  • Request items from the depot in order to make copies.
  • Gain access to the digital collection.

You can view books and journals from the shelves on the premises free of charge, and you can apply for a computer account for access to the digital collection.

To request documents from the depot, you will require a day pass from the counter.

€2,50 with a deposit of €10 for a day pass.

This does not entitle you to borrow items!

 

Identification

When applying for a library pass, you should bring the following with you:

  • Personal identity document:
    valid passport, driving licence or European identity card
  • Recent proof of address (no older than one month):
    a letter bearing your address, from your bank, insurance company or local authority, or a tenancy contract, for example
