Online access
Most of the online information in our collection is not accessible to you due to licensing restrictions. In some cases you can search for information but when you click through to the full-text version you are presented with a log-in screen or the announcement that you can only access it on payment of a charge. Below we set out the various possibilities.
Accessible free of charge: Open Access
Increasing numbers of articles and reports can be read, printed and downloaded free of charge. Sometimes an Open Access document is the latest author's version, i.e., the final version before publication.
Search system | Range | Number of references |
|---|---|---|
TU Delft Repository | TU Delft | > 30.000 |
TU Delft | > 5.500 datasets | |
Netherlands | > 677.000 | |
Europe | > 5.8 million | |
International | > 34 million | |
International | > 790.000 articles |
Additionally, there are various subject-specific Open Access search systems and archives, especially in the fields of biology, economics and computer science. See the VKCs.
Search for free, read on payment
Some systems allow you to search for articles free of charge, but charge a fee for access to the PDF. This fee can be several tens of euros per article or per book chapter. You can often immediately see what you need to pay. If your organisation is a non-profit organisation, you can order articles from us.
Using the search box at the top right you can search for articles, e-books and e-journals. | |
You can search in both Open Access publications and articles from scientific publishers. Non-profit organisations: activate the TU Delft link for direct orders! | |
Many Open Access publications, but also paid content. |
Search at a charge
