As of 1 November 2011, the EEMCS library (also known as EEMCS Knowledge Lab) will no longer be available. Due to the digitalisation of the collection, the actual use of our collection has declined to the point where it is no longer viable to keep our doors opened. That is why the faculty of EEMCS and TU Delft Library have decided to permanently close the EEMCS Library. The unique works of the EEMCS collection will be transferred to the Library Learning Centre (main building TU Delft Library).

The facility on the 2nd floor will be remodelled into a studyhall with study- and workspaces and projectrooms.

Requests

The books and journals in the EEMCS collection can be requested online in the same (familiar) way. As of 1 Novmeber, the pick-up location is the Library Learning Centre's main desk. Staff members have the possibility to have the books delivered at their faculty within 1 or 2 workdays.

The collection will be transferred to the Library Learning Centre and will become available once again during the next few weeks. Our goal is to have the entire collection available once again in January 2012.

Returns

Books can be returned to the EEMCS library until 1 november 2012. After that these can only be returned at the Library Learning Centre or at EEMCS logistics.

Study hall

The EEMCS library environment will be transformed into a new study hall for EEMCS students and will consist of approximately 50 new study- and workspaces with sufficient computers and connections for laptops. Two projectrooms will also be available. This new study hall is expected to open at the end of January 2012.
