Availability of resources

Due to licence restrictions, most resources on the library website are only available on campus. You can access online library resources from home by setting up a VPN connection to the TU Delft network.

Books

You can search the online library catalogue to find out wether a book is available:

• Search for the book on http://aleph.library.tudelft.nl
• Click on the number in front of the listing for the title information.
• Click on the “All items” link to discover the book's location.
• If a due date is shown, this means that the book is on loan and you can reserve it.
• Electronic books can be accessed using a direct link in the catalogue record (this can only be done on campus).

If the book that you need is not in the TU Delft catalogue, then you can use the Inter Library Loan (ILL) service to order it from another library (in Dutch: Interbibliothecair Leenverkeer or IBL). Note that you will have to pay for this service!

You can also suggest books for acquisition by the library, but do allow several weeks for ordering and administration.

Journals and journal articles

The fastest and easiest way to access journals and journal articles is to use SFX.

All journal titles and journal articles that can be found using bibliographic databases or search engines  (e.g. the library catalogue, Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar) have an SFX button or SFX link that looks like this:

If you’re unable to access the Google Scholar SFX link off campus, then you need to do the following:

• Go to the Google Scholar homepage
• Click “Scholar Preferences”.
• Type “Delft” into the Library Links box, and click “Find Library”.
• Select ”Technische Universiteit Delft - TU Delft SFX full text”.
