Elektronic books (e-books)

An e-book is a complete book that can be viewed online: content, text, footnotes etc. An e-book can only be accessed from within the TU Delft campus.

The TU Delft Library collection of e-books is growing fast. The catalogue lets you search for e-books: see example (how to find an e-book in the catalogue).

All e-books can be accessed through the provider platforms, each with their own rules for access (check the provider platforms).

TU Delft Library has access to the following online collections: Emerald, CRCnetBASE, Knovel, NetLibrary, Safari, SpringerLink en Wolters Kluwer (McGrawHill).

On the Emerald platform you have access to the Business, Management and Economics bundle (65 titles).

You have access to all books with a green icon. The book may be viewed by an unlimited number of users at the same time.

On the Knovel Interactive Library platform you will find publications by known academic publishers, ‘enriched’ with tools for processing and analysing data. You can sort, filter and export the data from ‘living tables’, solve equations and generate graphs. You can use data from existing graphs to carry out your own ‘what if’ experiments.

These e-books will be available in our catalogue and can be accessed through the Knovel website (and through Google).

On the Safari platform you will find publications on computers, software, multimedia, information technology and business. The composition of this collection is modified every year.

The TU Delft Library has a collection of e-books supplied by the provider NetLibrary. If you create a free account, you can also make and save notes. The facilities include an integrated dictionary: double click on a word to open the corresponding definition.

NetLibrary also contains more than 3000 free e-books. These e-books are available through any computer with Internet access.
A NetLibrary e-book can be viewed by one person at a time. If an e-book is in use, you may choose to be notified by email when a copy of the title becomes available for viewing. You can save or print one page at a time. Because of copyright rules there are restrictions to the amount of pages that you can save or print.

• You are looking for e-books on nuclear physics
• Select “online resources” Yes.
• Select format “Monograph”.
• Select “Words adjacent” Yes.
• Click “Go”.
• result is 56 e-books (no reference works) on nuclear physics. To view the results, click on the number next to “Total”.
